Characteristics of the Master Amino Acid Pattern. 100% Digested, 100% Absorbed, 99% Utilized.

MAP™ Characteristics

MAP™ is a dietary protein substitute that provides the MAP Master Amino Acid Pattern® (U.S. Patent No. 5,132,113) a unique pattern of essential amino acids in a highly purified, free, crystalline form.

MAP™ is indicated as a safe and effective substitute for dietary proteins.

Clinical studies have shown that the use of MAP™, during physical activity, may substitute dietary proteins or protein supplements in a safer and nutritionally more efficient way to:

Optimize body protein syntheis, muscle mass, strength and endurance. Recover faster.

clinically proven

It has been clinically proven that the use of MAP™, during physical activity, increases muscle mass. This may enable an increase in both muscle strength and endurance.

clinically proven to increase muscle strength

It has been clinically proven that the use of MAP™, during physical activity, increases muscle strength. This may enable a stronger physical performance.

It has been clinically proven that the use of MAP™, during physical activity, increases muscle endurance. This may enable a longer physical performance.

It has been clinically proven that the use of MAP™ provides a faster and more effective muscle recovery after physical activity. This may enable physical activity to be resumed sooner, with reduced soreness. This may be due to the combined action of MAP’s unique BPS/min in conjunction with a reduced level of lactic acid (lactate) in the bloodstream.

Why, may the use of MAP™ be nutritionally more effective than dietary proteins or protein supplements?

Compare MAP to dietary proteins, protein supplements like whey, casein, soy

1. MAP™ provides a 99% Net Nitrogen Utilization® (NNU®).

This means that 99% of MAP's constituent amino acids act as precursors for BPS to become body’s constituent proteins. By comparison, the most nutritious dietary proteins, such as meat, fish or poultry provide an average of 32% NNU®. Consequently, only 32% of their constituent amino acids can act as precursors for BPS. Meanwhile, most protein supplements only provide an average of 16% NNU®, because they use milk, soy, casein or whey as their primary protein source. As a result, only 16% of their constituent amino acids act as precursors for BPS. Therefore, dietary proteins provide a BPS that is at least 3 times lower, compared to MAP™. While, protein supplements provide a BPS that is at least 6 times lower, compared to MAP™.

23 minute digestion time for MAP versus 3 to 6 hours for dietary proteins

2. MAP™ is absorbed in the small intestine within 23 minutes from its ingestion.

By comparison, dietary proteins and protein supplements need from 3 to 6 hours to be digested. This is 6 to 12 times longer compared to MAP™.

Calculate BPS over time

By knowing a protein’s NNU® (%) and its digestion time (min), a protein's BPS/min ratio can be calculated.

MAP has a much higher BPS compared to dietary proteins and whey, casein, soy

3.  MAP™ BPS/min is 99% NNU®/ 23 min.

By comparison the most nutritious dietary proteins have a BPS/min of 32% NNU®/180-360 min. This means that the BPS/min of dietary proteins is 24 to 48 times lower compared to MAP™. Meanwhile, protein supplements have a BPS/min of 16% NNU®/180-360 minutes. This means that the BPS/min ratio of protein supplements is 48 to 96 times lower compared to MAP™.

Why, may the use of MAP™ be safer and more convenient, during physical activity, than dietary proteins or protein supplements?

MAP releases less than 1% harmful nitrogen waste

1. MAP™ releases only 1% nitrogen catabolites, namely metabolic toxic waste.

By comparison, dietary proteins and protein supplements release an average of 68-84% nitrogen catabolites. This is 68 to 84 times more metabolic toxic waste compared to MAP™. Therefore by taking MAP™ in substitution of dietary proteins or protein supplements, overloading of the liver and kidney functions may be prevented. Thus, a healthier and more effective physical activity may be achieved.

MAP has a much faster digestion time

2. MAP™ is absorbed in the small intestine within 23 minutes from its ingestion.

By comparison, dietary proteins and protein supplements need from 3 to 6 hours to be digested. This is 6 to 12 times longer compared to MAP™. Therefore, by taking MAP™ during physical activity in substitution of dietary proteins or protein supplements:
• Additional weight of dietary proteins in the process of digestion may be avoided. As a result, physical activity may be performed with a lighter body weight. Thus, physical performance may be improved.
• Furthermore, the blood supply required to digest dietary proteins may be avoided. As result, the blood supply necessary during physical activity may be optimized. Thus, physical performance may be improved.

3. MAP™ provides only 0.04 Kcal/g.

Therefore by taking MAP™ in substitution of dietary proteins or protein supplements, unwanted calories may be avoided. Thus, physical performance may be improved.

4. MAP™ does not produce any fecal residue.

Therefore by taking MAP™ in substitution of dietary proteins or protein supplements, unwanted diarrhea episodes may be avoided or reduced. Thus, physical performance may be improved.

5. MAP™ is amphoteric.

This means that MAP™ can act either as an acid or a base. Therefore, MAP™ use is not contraindicated during gastric ulcer. Thus, physical performance may be improved.

6. MAP™ in contrast with any dietary protein or protein supplement is:

100% sodium free. Which may help to control sodium intake.

100% fat free. Which may help to control fat intake.

100 % sugar free. Which may help to control sugar intake.

MAP increases BPS while decreasing harmful nitrogen waste, digestive loading, and calorie intake.

Why, may the use of MAP™, during the required physical activity, be safer and more effective than the use of steroids?

NOT OPTIMIZED

1. The non-therapeutic use of steroids is dangerous. Meanwhile, the use of MAP™ has been shown to be safe.

2. The increase in muscle mass achieved by using steroids is temporary. Once the use of steroids is stopped, the previously acquired muscle mass is lost. On the contrary, the muscle mass gained by using MAP™ may be permanent, even if its use is interrupted.

3. The use of steroids causes an increased water and sodium retention in the interstitial compartment (the space surrounding muscle cells). As a result, muscle volume increases while muscle density decreases. On the contrary, the use of MAP™ may normalize water and sodium retention. As a result, muscle density may optimize. Therefore, the acquired muscle volume is not due to water retention but to a measurable increase in muscle mass and strength.

Dosage & Administration

Notice: Individual dosage may vary according to nutritional status, age, gender, and the intensity and frequency of physical activity.

Suggested use for non-athletes:
5 tablets a day (or as directed by a health professional) to be taken during a meal.

Suggested use for athletes:

For the amateur athlete: 5 to 10 tablets of MAP™, 30-45 minutes before physical activity, in conjunction with the daily requirement of vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

For the professional athlete: 10 tablets of MAP™, 30-45 minutes before physical activity, in conjunction with the daily requirement of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. And an additional 10 tablets of MAP™ to be taken during the next meal (lunch or dinner).

If taking more than 10 tablets per day, increase dosage gradually. (No more than 10 tablets should be taken within a two hour period).

To calculate the required MAP™ dosage to substitute dietary proteins apply the following equation:

Clinical studies have shown that MAP™ in a dosage of 400mg/kg/day (ideal weight) has been shown to be adequate as a sole and total substitute of dietary proteins to maintain the body’s nitrogen balance in equilibrium. Therefore, to calculate the dosage of MAP™ required to substitute dietary proteins, apply the following equation:

MAP™ dosage = (Dietary Protein x 0.4) g

For instance, to calculate the dosage of MAP™ necessary to substitute 10 g of dietary proteins, proceed as follows:

  1. MAP™ dosage = (Dietary Proteins x 0.4) g
  2. MAP™ dosage = (10 x 0.4) g
  3. MAP™ dosage = 4 g

Therefore, 4 g (4 tablets) of MAP™ provide a body’s protein synthesis (BPS) equivalent to that provided by at least 10 g of the most nutritious dietary protein.
